the hunger buster burger (a 12oz bouble cheese burger with bacon or ham) is legit! i left the ketchup off cuz i hate it, should have done the same with that yellow mustard *gag* and the sweet relish was....interesting. but still that burger was super tasty. the fries were even better but wish there were more of them. folks got a large order of their potato wedges. they were freshly made and prepared like nachos. yum!!! pie was amazing. service was verrrrrrrry suspect. totally one of those places that has been there forever and hasnt changed much. excited to go back for the paul bunyan burrito!

This is a small town diner with local flair. The food is good and service as well. I always make this my first stop when I get to St Maries. Yummy food. Owners are usually working so all goes well.

Came here with some family while visiting from out of town. Had burgers and the shrimp plate. Really good food, hand packed burgers, not frozen patties. Also treated ourselves to shakes, also very good. Difinetly will come back next time we're back in town.

The food is really good. The service is great. Stephanie has helped me a couple times and she's very nice and an asset to the restaurant. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is lacking, but it seems clean and that's enough in Saint Maries!

If you find yourself in Saint Maries, ID - you may be lost - or just finished fishing, hiking, rafting, having the time of your life in some of the most beautiful country God has created AND after all of that you are probably hungry! If you are hungry, pull up a chair order a burger, the Old Growth is a favorite of mine, some french fries, the fry sauce is yummy and a milkshake - they are real milkshakes, made with real ice-cream. I also like the onion rings! Service is fast, water and drinks are refilled, and the place is always clean, what more could you want?

Stopped here after the st joes river marathon just looking for a greasy burger and Fries. Instead I got an incredibly well made, high quality burger and hot crispy fries. Service was fast and people were friendly. I highly recommend buds drive in!

An Old School Diner Like You Would Find in Mayberry SITREP Coming to St. Maries, Idaho is like stepping back in time. Specifically, "Andy Griffith" time and the sedate quaint life of Mayberry. So Bud's Drive In is one of those institutions that really caters to the local citizenry. When my Uncle Gary, Cousin Dale and I come to do some work on the Fountain Bay ranch just down the road, we often will stop in here for lunch. THE SETUP It's got your basic menu for breakfast: * Eggs (anyway you like 'em) * Bacon, Sausage, and Ham (any way you want it) * Flapjacks (with an array of syrups * Hasbrowns & Home Fries Most breakfasts are under $6 It's also got your basic menu for lunch: * Burgers (any way you want it) - the gut-buster is the perennial favorite among people that I know who come here, including myself. * Salads (very limited - not much of a veggie-vegan crowd is these parts) * French Fries or Baked Potatos * Lots of condiments * Beef Steaks and Ham Steaks (any way you want it) Most lunches (except the steak) under $8. Dinner menu is not much different from lunch, but it seems the portions are bigger for a bit more money. OUTSIDE It does have some minimal outside seating (metal picnic benches), and it is a drive-thru, so if you are outside, make sure you stay clear of the flying gravel that some of the Ford rigs kick up as they high-tail it from the drive-thru window. THE LOWDOWN Considering where you are, this is an a bona fide lucky find in St. Maries for a filling and tasty meal.

Looks are deceiving. From the outside of this hamburger joint you think to yourself why should I stop there? Answer, because other people on yelp said it was good. Inside and out is old and run down and that's why it got a 4 star, but the staff is friendly and fast. Drinks were on the table in no time. While we waited a just a short time for our burgers you saw this is a locals meeting spot. The big round tables filled up with older folks talking about what was going on around the town, and had a good time dooming it. When our food got there it was not bad. Juicy burgers and lightly breaded fries were awesome and hot. I would recommend this place to anyone driving through and needs something to eat. I know if we ever come through again we will stop in for a bite.

What a delight it was to step inside this cute little diner. The waitress was very attentive. The sweet potato fries were brought with a marshmallow and caramel sauce that was simply delicious. The old-growth burger was very juicy and well adorned. The raspberry shake was also thick tasty and huge.

We just needed something yummy for the road. Ice Cream & Onion Rings ~ right on!!! One scoop should do you, maybe the guys might require 2, but they are big scoops. Delicious!!! We all got an Ice Cream mine was Huckleberry~ when in Idaho it's really the perfect choice!!! Then Onion Rings (good size portion) to split 3 ways just because we thought it would be good. The aroma when it came in the cab of the truck like no other, I'm not sure if they were homemade or not, but I think they were. Please stop in if you're buzzing through town I would imagine everything is YUM!!!

This is obviously a local favorite - the small place was hoppin' on Sunday morning and I understand why! Service was quick and friendly in this mom & pop feel diner. Meal was delicious and hearty - definitely worth the stop. Sausage links were huge and moist, ham steak was tender and the tastiest I've ever had. Coffee was a tad weak but the service and food made made this one complaint inconsequential

Okay apparently yelpers haven't made their way to Northern Idaho yet. No matter. I will begin the process single-handedly... Bud's Burgers in St. Maries is a very nice ma and pa diner to stop in after a long day of fishing/hiking/biking or whatever to enjoy the gorgeous scenery of the nearby lakes and mountains. The food centers around big portions of good country cooking. I myself enjoyed a gut buster burger, which lived up to its name. My eyes widened when I saw the behemoth that sat before me. It was tasty too. Nothing outstanding, mind you, but well above average.
